Ana Ghia-PereiraAna is the Vice-President of Peartree Real Estate Investment Group, an Ottawa-based real estate investment company focusing on rent-to-own, multi-family income properties, and property management.
After completing her degree in Computer Technology Computing Science, Ana started her career in 1981, working as a computer programmer for the Federal Government, at Supply and Services Canada, now Public Works and Government Services Canada. During her career she worked in many interesting computer based projects and retired in 2006 as a Senior Project Manager for Information Management. She continued to work part-time for the federal government, in several projects, until December 2010
Ana has always been interested in real estate, and has always dreamed of purchasing old houses and renovating them. Her own house was a fixer-upper she purchased in 2000 and has been renovating ever since, trying to do the work herself, as much as possible. Ana came across "Rich Dad Poor Dad" by Robert Kyiosaki and decided that real estate investing would be an interesting second career. She then started her education by reading, and continuing to read many books on real estate investing. Ana became a member of OREIO in September 2009 and will be attending the 3-day Robert Kyiosaki's "Learn to be Rich" workshop in April of this year.
